1% Forward

I've made the decision to donate 1% off all headshot session fees to Capital IDEA—a Central Texas non-profit whose mission is to lift working adults out of poverty and into living-wage careers through education and career advancement.

Why?

I come from a long line of medical professionals who knew the power of presenting themselves well, taught me how to communicate and dress professionally, and provided me with the resources needed to achieve this. As a result, I come off professional and qualified in interviews and interactions. However, not everyone has this privilege—despite hiring professionals acting like we're all on a level playing field.

I believe in the power of organizations like Capital IDEA, and the many others with similar missions, and want to support them in their efforts to actually level that playing field.
